SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — SeaWorld San Diego is celebrating Military Appreciation Month with an exclusive deal.

The theme park is offering free one-day admission for U.S. military veterans in the month of May, SeaWorld officials said in a press release Monday. Veterans may choose up to three guests (dependents) to bring along with them.

Veterans have until May 12 to register for the free tickets, which they must use by July 7, according to the park. Their guests have until May 27 to visit the park with their free tickets.

Active-duty military members and up to three guests (dependents) can get one free admission through the end of the year.

Those registering must have a valid active military identification to participate.

The military deal is part of the United Parks & Resorts’ Waves of Honor program aiming to offer special pricing and promotions for active-duty military members, veterans and their families.

“We are proud to honor active-duty military, veterans and their families with a complimentary visit to one of our parks,” said Marc Swanson, CEO of United Parks & Resorts. “We are incredibly grateful to all members of our military for their commitment and dedication to serving our country. The Waves of Honor program extends a small token of our appreciation to those who are serving or who have served. We look forward to welcoming military service members, veterans and their families for a fun-filled day in one of our parks.”
