Search for wanted man in Luzerne County

HAZLETON, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Police in Luzerne County say they are searching for a man wanted for alleged forgery violations.

According to the Hazleton City Police Department, Jose Mejia-Mejia has an active felony arrest warrant for multiple forgery violations and DUI charges.

Two charged with multiple retail thefts at T.J. Maxx

Mejia-Mejia is wanted from a traffic stop incident in Dember 2021 where he was using a false name and is believed to still use a different name, police stated.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Mejia-Mejia is asked to contact the Hazleton City Police at their tip line 570-45-2080 or tips@hazletonpd.org.
