SDSU defeats Yale in second round of NCAA Tournament
SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — San Diego State University’s men’s basketball team defeated Yale in the second round of the NCAA Tournament Sunday, heading to the Sweet 16 for the second straight season.
The fifth-seeded San Diego State Aztecs defeated the 13-seeded Yale Bulldogs 85 to 57 in Spokane, Washington Sunday night.

Following this win, SDSU is set to take on UConn in the Sweet 16 in Boston on Thursday at 4:39 p.m. The Huskies beat the fifth-seeded San Diego State 76-59 in last year’s national championship game.
The top two seeds from each region are now headed to the Sweet 16:

Duke vs Houston — Friday at 6:39 p.m. in Dallas, TX
Creighton vs Tennessee — Friday at 7:09 p.m. in Detroit, MI
