Scurry County collision claims one life & injures 3

SCURRY COUNTY, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – A two-vehicle collision in Snyder resulted in three injuries and one fatality.

On March 21 at 8:00 PM, emergency crews responded to US Highway 84 near Ennis Creek Road.

According to preliminary investigation, a Saturn Outlook was traveling west on Ennis Creek Road. The vehicle entered US 84, crossing the northbound lanes and center crossover into the southbound lanes.

The Saturn driver failed to yield and hit a Chevrolet pickup truck that was traveling south on US 84.

The Saturn driver was transported to a Lubbock hospital with incapacitating injuries. The passenger, 22-year-old Victoria Ann Salinas of Snyder, was transported to a hospital but succumbed to her injuries a couple of days later.

The driver of the Chevrolet was transported to a Lubbock hospital with incapacitating injuries. The passenger was treated and released from a nearby hospital.
