Scottsboro High School to end on-campus activities early Tuesday ahead of weather

SCOTTSBORO, Ala. (WHNT) – Scottsboro High School says it will end after school activities early on Tuesday, May 14.

Due to the possibility of severe weather conditions, Scottsboro High School will end all on-campus activities and extracurriculars by 4:30 p.m.

The following events are rescheduled for a later date:

  • EL Family Night scheduled for Tuesday, May 14, will be postponed and rescheduled for Monday, May 20, at 5:30 p.m. at Scottsboro High School

  • Band Concert this evening will be rescheduled for Thursday, May 16, at 5 p.m. at Collins Auditorium

Severe Thunderstorm Watch issued until 8 p.m.

The school system says its Soccer Banquet at Goosepond Civic Center will continue as planned unless weather conditions worsen.

Scottsboro City Schools’ Administration said it will be keeping a close eye on the weather conditions and continue to update parents, families and the community.
