'Saturday Night Live' #TBT: Ryan Gosling really loves Santa, baby
Ryan Gosling returns to host Saturday Night Live for its 43rd season premiere and it should be a good one.
The last time he hosted, two years ago, there were several sketches that became instant classics, including the alien abduction sketch “Close Encounter” (which memorably made Gosling break into giggles).
Another amazing bit from the show was this digital short, featuring Gosling and Vanessa Bayer as a new couple at the neighborhood Christmas party. At first, they seem totally nice and normal… until someone mentions Santa Claus.
Turns out, Gosling and Bayer really, really love Santa. Like, to a homicidal level. When Beck Bennett jokes that Santa is upstairs, they grow increasingly unhinged (and horny).
And when Bennett says Rudolph isn’t there, Gosling smashes a decorative glass candy cane.
“Then how the f**k did Santa get here?”
Tune in to see Gosling host SNL with musical guest Jay-Z this Saturday at 11:30 p.m. on NBC.
