San Jose high school shelter-in-place lifted, student detained

(KRON) — Officers were dispatched to Willow Glen High School on Wednesday afternoon, the San Jose Police Department announced on social media. Police received an anonymous tip around 12:24 p.m. that a student brought a weapon to campus.

Willow Glen High School was under a shelter-in-place, but that has since been lifted shortly after 2 p.m., according to SJPD’s X page.

A student was detained, and police located a BB gun on them. There were no reports of injuries or threats, SJPD said.

Willow Glen High School is located at 2001 Cottle Ave. Police said parents are now allowed on campus to pick up their children.
