San Jose City College evacuated after bomb threat report

(KRON) — A bomb threat was reported Wednesday evening at San Jose City College, the San Jose Police Department announced on X. The campus was evacuated, and classes on Wednesday night were canceled.

Police received a call about the bomb threat at 5:03 p.m. All entrances to the college campus were blocked by police as crews investigated the threat.

Authorities conducted a search, and nothing suspicious was located, according to SJPD. San Jose City College will reopen in the morning, and classes will resume back to their normal schedules.

SJPD tweeted at 8:41 p.m. that the bomb threat investigation had been resolved. The incident prompted a temporary road closure of Moorpark Avenue at Bascom Avenue going towards I-280.
