San Angelo might get a new urgent care clinic

SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — An urgent care center rooted in Midland and Odessa might be expanding to San Angelo in the future, if the City of San Angelo’s April permits and inspections report is to be believed.

According to the City of San Angelo’s permits and inspections report for April, a commercial project titled “WesTex Urgent Care #9110” is currently pending. The project has an estimated cost of $2.4 million and a proposed address of 2972 N. Bryant Blvd., a plot of land currently being used as additional parking for the Concho Valley Community Supervision and Corrections Department.

WesTex Urgent Care is an urgent care center that has five locations spread across Midland, Odessa and Andrews. According to the center’s website, its facilities are capable of handling the following maladies and processes, among others:

  • Asthma

  • Sinus infection

  • Sore throat

  • Abdominal pain

  • Headaches

  • Occupational medicine

  • Flu clinic

  • Coronavirus testing

  • X-ray services

  • STD testing

San Angelo is getting a Boot Barn — what we know

If the project were to be approved, the San Angelo location would be WesTex’s first foray beyond the counties of Ector, Midland and Andrews. However, the center would have to compete with other urgent care providers, such as Shannon Urgent Care and Concho Valley ER.
