Samantha Bee Slams ‘Fox & Friends’ for Islamophobia

On Full Frontal With Samantha Bee, Bee took aim at the hosts of Fox & Friends and their views on Islam. President Trump frequently watches the show and retweets what he sees, and he went on a Twitter tirade touting his travel ban the same morning that the most recent offending episode of Fox & Friends aired.

“As always, his favorite show has been serving a breakfast of scrambled Islamophobia, apparently on a strict hourly schedule,” Bee said.

This was in response to Fox & Friends’ Brian Kilmeade saying, “Well, 27 minutes now before the top of the hour: Time to talk terror.”

Bee took issue with quite a lot of what was said on the show. She bashed the hosts for deriding London Mayor Sadiq Khan for comments he made following the June 3 terror attacks and then being OK with a point said to have come from Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, one of the masterminds of 9/11. Bee finally had enough when the Fox & Friends conversation turned to surveilling mosques and conducting “pre-arrests,” as Kilmeade put it.

“Do you think the coffee in those cups ever wishes it could just jump out and run away?” Bee joked.

Full Frontal with Samantha Bee airs Wednesdays at 10:30 p.m. on Comedy Central.
