Spelling Bee Champion Embarrasses Ryan Seacrest and Kelly Ripa

Live with Kelly and Ryan hosts squared off against the 90th Scripps National Spelling Bee winner Ananya Vinay. Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest teamed up against Vinay on their own turf of the Live studio in a spelling bee hosted by the actual pronouncer of the national competition, Dr. Jacques Bailly.

Ripa was able to correctly spell “napoo,” and Vinay easily spelled “boborygmus.” But things turned quickly for the hosts as Seacrest was unable to spell “vizard.” After another round, it was clear that Seacrest and Ripa couldn’t keep up with the spelling champ, and they gave her a Live spelling bee trophy.
