Nothing about a holiday dinner even remotely suggests it's time for shots. Mom brought out the fine china, grandpa's saying grace, your brother's wearing a shirt that doesn't say Thrasher on it, for goodness sake. But sometimes, those holiday get-togethers can feel a little too stuffy and formal. Or borderline tense (especially the instance someone starts mentioning the news.)
That's when - despite what every etiquette guide on the planet may say - you need to bust out the shots, shots, shots, sh-sh-shots!

They just have to be disguised in a classy way, and they can't be so potent your grandma will be dancing on the table and flipping everyone the bird (including the bird Dad so lovingly roasted for hours). Cranberry shots are one option, but if you're looking for a beautiful mess that can double as dessert, you need Salted Caramel Pudding Shots.
A riff on our salted caramel banana pudding, these nix bananas in favor of booze. Straight vodka, to be exact, but you could easily use a flavored variety, or try whiskey or bourbon, if that's more your speed. (It'll bring out the caramel notes, that's for sure.)
Top it with a dollop of Cool Whip or whipped cream, a drizzle of caramel sauce and a hearty sprinkle of sea salt, and nobody will question what you're bringing to the table. They'll just ask that you get them another round, stat.
