SAISD Update: Graduation dates set, career exploration opportunities offered

SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — In a recent development within the San Angelo Independant School District (SAISD), students have been treated to a unique opportunity for career exploration. Reese Albert, engaged with students interested in Contruction, trades, and welding department to shed light on various job prospects within their interested fields. Notably, senior students were afforded the opportunity of visiting work sites, providing them with firsthand insight into potential career paths.

Meanwhile, as the academic year draws to a close, preparations are underway for the commencement ceremonies of Central and Lakeview High School. Set to take place on May25th, both schools will celebrate the achievements of their graduating seniors’ ceremonies will be held at separate locations and times. Centrals graduation will commence at 9:00 am at the Angelo State Junell Center, while Lakeview’s ceremony will follow at 11:45 am at the Foster Communications Coliseum.

Dr. Merl Brandon, the SAISD assistant superintendent, expressed enthusiasm for the upcoming graduation ceremonies and the recent initiatives aimed at student enrichment.
