Just a week after nailing down one of the best drafts this year, the New Orleans Saints didn’t stop there. In fact, the free agency and draft periods were just the beginning of what’s turned out to be a very exciting offseason.

The team signed guards Landon Turner and Avery Young, which could put this offensive line over the top, which is already elite with Max Unger and Terron Armstead, with the latter just being locked up to a five-year deal.

New Orleans also added offensive linemen Jack Allen and Marcus Henry, and added more depth to their secondary by adding the likes of De’Vante Harris and Ken Crawley. As such, Chad Reuter from NFL.com ranked their undrafted free agent pickups as the best out of all teams.

Here are some of the words he had for their home-run signings:

“Getting receiver Michael Thomas in the second round was a steal, and either Jordan Williams (tough possession receiver) or Jared Dangerfield (taller downfield threat) could make the roster.”

Sean Payton and Mickey Loomis appear to be loaded up for one more run at the Super Bowl. With future Hall of Fame quarterback Drew Brees now 37, the window of opportunity is closing.

They weren’t a huge favorite when they won Super Bowl 44, so after a plethora of big offseason moves, no one can be shocked if this team is vying for the Lombardi Trophy in nine months time.
