Sacramento woman dies after crash on Marconi Avenue

(FOX40.COM) — A woman from Sacramento died early Friday morning after crashing into a tree on Marconi Avenue, according to California Highway Patrol.

The woman was identified as 38-year-old Dora Yvonne Correa.

CHP said Correa was driving west on Marconi Avenue near Eastern Avenue when her SUV traveled off the road and hit a tree. The SUV continued west and crashed into three nearby unoccupied vehicles.

“California Highway Patrol, American Medical Response, and Sacramento Metro Fire Department personnel arrived on the scene and discovered the driver of the vehicle was deceased from this collision,” CHP said.

The vehicle Correa was driving in the crash was a 1998 Isuzu Rodeo, CHP added.

CHP did not state if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash.
