RuPaul's Drag Race star Katya has postponed her joint tour with co-star Trixie Mattel as she begins treatment for addiction.

The season seven star posted a touching Reel on Instagram earlier this week, in which she revealed that her sole focus is on her sobriety.

"There's a saying for the active alcoholic or drug addict," Katya began the video. "The trajectory of the life course has three possible outcomes: A) jail, B) institutions or C) death.

"Unfortunately, I find myself squarely and firmly and quite uncomfortably in the B camp right now. But in an effort to make things good with you in the future, I gotta make things good for me right now."

Katya went on to explain that she will be rescheduling dates of the sold-out Bald and the Beautiful live tour, and thanked fans for their "compassion" and understanding.

"Any rescheduled dates or potential loss of money will be rectified as swiftly and competently as possible. I gotta swiftly and competently rectify my ass right now," she said.

"Thank you so much for your patience and compassion and I hope that you have a wonderful day."

The post was quickly flooded with messages of support from Katya's Drag Race co-stars and friends. "The honesty and strength you're showing is so admirable. You can do this," commented Drag Race UK star The Vivienne.

Drag Race All Stars winner Shea Couleé added: "Sending you so much love and support. Thank you for being brave enough to share with us and tackle this obstacle face on. You are so incredible, and we're all rooting for you."

Touring company Obsessed also took to Instagram to share their well wishes, saying: "When it comes to our talent, their mental and physical well-being always has been and will remain our first priority. We wish Katya the best and send her our unwavering love and support as she navigates this step in her health."

RuPaul's Drag Race US airs on MTV in the US and WOW Presents Plus in the UK.
