The Royal Family Sent Out Heartwarming Messages for Archie's Birthday

Today, in celebration of the Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's son, Archie's third birthday, his royal relatives have been sending out some sweet messages to wish him many happy returns.

The royal family's official Twitter account shared an adorable image this morning, capturing the moment that little Archie first met his great-grandparents, the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh, shortly after his birth in 2019. Along with his mom and dad, his grandmother Doria Ragland, also appears in the photo.

"Wishing Archie Mountbatten-Windsor a very happy 3rd Birthday!" the account wrote, along with a birthday cake emoji.

Clarence House, the official account of Archie's grandfather, Prince Charles, retweeted the post with its own message from Charles and Camilla, saying simply, "Happy Birthday Archie!" with a balloon emoji.

Archie's aunt and uncle, Prince William and Kate Middleton, also sent out their best wishes for the day with a tweet featuring a photo from Archie's christening in July 2019 in the private chapel at Windsor Castle.

"Wishing Archie a very happy 3rd Birthday today," they wrote.

In the photo, Archie is seen in a very special christening gown which had been used by all of the Queen's great-grandchildren up to that point, including his cousins Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. The gown is a replica of one that Queen Victoria commissioned for her daughter Victoria Adelaide Mary Louisa, which was the go-to christening dress for the royal family for 163 years.
