Roseville robbery leads to pursuit, crash in Sacramento; four arrested

(FOX40.COM) — The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office said it arrested four people on Thursday who were involved in an armed robbery in Roseville after deputies were led on a pursuit in Sacramento.

The sheriff’s office said it also recovered a gun upon arresting the four suspects and the investigation has been handed off to the Roseville Police Department.

The incident began when the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office deputies attempted to stop a vehicle for a violation near Watt Avenue and Interstate 80, according to the sheriff’s office.

Deputies said that the vehicle stop turned into a pursuit, which ended in south Sacramento when the suspects crashed their vehicle.

“Bad guys tried running, but deputies got them all detained and recovered a gun,” the agency said on social media.

The sheriff’s office added that once it detained the suspects, deputies learned of their involvement in an armed robbery that took place in Roseville earlier in the day.

According to Roseville Police, the suspects entered a CVS at Sierra College and Roseville Parkway armed with handguns but fled the scene before police arrived. “No injuries and no hostages during the incident,” the agency added.

The Roseville Police Department thanked the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office, Sacramento Police Department, and California Highway Patrol for their assistance in this incident.
