1 hospitalized after rollover crash on US-131 north of GR

PLAINFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — One person is in the hospital after a Monday morning rollover crash on US-131 north of Grand Rapids.

Around 11:35 a.m., Michigan State Police posted on social media that troopers were on northbound US-131 south of West River Drive for a crash.

Responding troopers learned that a pickup truck had rear-ended two vehicles that were slowing down for traffic. The pickup truck then went off the roadway and rolled.

The driver of the pickup, a 55-year-old Comstock Park man, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, MSP said.

The drivers of the two vehicles that were rear-ended were also hurt. MSP said that their injuries were considered minor.

US-131 was down to one lane in the area while crews investigated. It has since been reopened.

The crash remains under investigation.
