Rocky Mount Rotary Skate Park reopens with a new look

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — One skate park in Franklin County is back with a new look!

The Franklin County Parks and Recreation announced that the Rocky Mount Rotary Skate Park is now open. The park has been a staple for many skateboard enthusiasts and young teens for over a decade.

Now, the park has been renovated with smooth concrete, a new fence, and a four-foot bowl. The new look was brought to life by The Ranch Camp.

The department says the new bowl has been a labor of love.

The Franklin County Parks and Recreation says a grand reopening skate and an outdoor movie night is coming soon to celebrate the new additions to the park.
