Road closures for 2024 Arlington Festival of the Arts

ARLINGTON, Va. (DC News Now) — Several roads will be closed this weekend for the 2024 Arlington Festival of the Arts.

The festival will be from Saturday, April 27 to Sunday, April 28. Setting up for the festival will begin on Saturday at 3 a.m. and the festivities will start from 10 a.m. and run until 5 p.m. on both days.

These roads will be closed from about 3 a.m. until 8 p.m. this weekend:

  • Westbound Washington Boulevard, from 10th Street N. to Clarendon Boulevard

  • The left lane of eastbound Washington Boulevard, from Clarendon Boulevard to N. Garfield Street (The right lane will be open to motor vehicle traffic)

  • N. Highland Street, from Clarendon Boulevard to Washington Boulevard (local traffic will be able to access the parking garage for 3100 Clarendon Boulevard from 11th Street N.)

Those interested in attending are encouraged to use the Metro to reduce vehicular traffic.

Arlington County Police Department said drivers should follow police direction and be alert for increased pedestrian traffic in the area. Additional roads could be shut down if necessary.

“No parking” signs will be visible in these areas, and any illegally parked cars may be ticketed or towed.
