Man killed in dirt bike crash in Dauphin County

DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM)– A deadly dirt bike crash in Dauphin County on Sunday closed an area off to traffic for hours, according to officials.

According to a spokesperson for the county, Christian Brito-Bruno, 29, of Highspire, was identified as the victim by the Dauphin County Coroner’s Office.

The coroner’s office ruled Brito-Bruno’s cause of death due to multiple traumatic injuries and the manner is ruled accidental.

According to Swatara Township Police, first responders rushed to the scene at about 12:53 p.m. after getting a report of a crash. An investigation determined Brito-Bruno was traveling east on the bike when it crashed with a passenger car and he was thrown from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

A crash reconstruction caused Essex Street between Main and Monroe Street to be closed for hours, and Swatara Township police are investigating.
