Rihanna Wears Metallic Highlighter at Met Gala 2018
If anyone could pull off a full papal look at the 2018 Met Gala, it's Rihanna. The singer, who served as one of the benefit event's co-chairs alongside Amal Clooney and Donatella Versace, took the "Heavenly Bodies" theme quite literally. Wearing an embellished Margiela dress with matching coat and Pope-like hat (obv), Rih still managed to bring us a beauty look worth talking about.
Though most of her hair was covered, Rihanna let two, face-framing pieces peek outside of her hat. Each piece was placed just in front of her ears in an old school finger waves style that was straighter towards the bottom. And then, there was her makeup: She blessed us earlier this week with a 10-minute beauty tutorial, and at tonight's gala, the Fenty Beauty mogul was highlighted to the heavens with glowing cheekbones. Adding a metallic pink lip to the mix, Ri kept her eye makeup more classic with a blend of smoky neutral shadows.
Rihanna, is of course known for her Met Gala looks. Having attended the red carpet seven times (now eight!), we can always count on Rihanna to embrace the theme and deliver in a major way. Last year, she paired her structured Comme des Garçons design with a mix of pink and berry shades on her eyes and lips to match her dress. And while the expectations for Rihanna seem to get bigger every year, it doesn't look like she'll be losing her status as the queen of Met Gala anytime soon.
