Rihanna and Donald Glover are up to something across the pond and we want to know, what gives?

Days after the singer announced that Childish Gambino - Glover's stage name - would be performing at her fourth annual Diamond Ball next month, the pair have been photographed together in Cuba.

In new images that appeared online on Wednesday, RiRi can be seen wearing a multi-coloured rainbow striped dress with her hair in braids and putting up peace signs.

Meanwhile, the 'This Is America' singer appears topless, wearing red shorts and holding a guitar.

Despite suggestions the pair could be collaborating on new music (after all, Rihanna did let slip on the Graham Norton Show earlier this summer new tunes were on the way), other reports claim the pair are on set of a film directed by Hiro Murai.

The Japanese-American filmmaker has been a longtime collaborator with Childish Gambino, having directed the star's short film Clapping for the Wrong Reasons in 2013 and directed several episodes of his comedy-drama Atlanta.

Cuban website Vistar reports that Rihanna and Donald are shooting in several locations across Havana at the moment, including a textile factory - where the Barbados-born star was photographed sitting at a sewing machine - located in the Alamar municipality.

The site also claims that Black Panther actress Letitia Wright and Games of Thrones' Nonso Anozie are also part of the project, reportedly titled Guava Island.

Well, whatever the pair are up to, talk of the musicians working together 'on set' has sent their fans wild on social media.

We are here for this. Whatever 'this' is, Riri and Donald.
