Revitalized Chain of Rocks Park opens along the Mississippi River

ST. LOUIS — A new park has officially opened in North St. Louis County, enhancing the Chain of Rocks Bridge area in Riverview. Local officials were present for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the opening of the new Chain of Rocks Park along the Mississippi Greenway.

The festive event featured live music, food trucks, exercise classes, and even a pet adoption event. Earlier in the day, visitors participated in a lengthy bike ride starting from Chouteau Island.

Funding for the 16-acre park was sourced from local sales tax dollars, federal grants, and contributions from donors. The park is now open to the public.
