New rental business will keep the party going in Greater Gardner: here's what they offer
Taylor Rental in Gardner may be closing but the party will continue.
Mike Griczka and Matt Francis, who worked for decades at the popular Union Square business, have announced they will continue to rent out tents, dunk tanks, dance floors, and bounce houses under their new banner, Party Tents and Events.
Griczika, who is a teacher at Monty Tech, said it was an easy decision to continue with the party rental side of the business.
“It’s something I love doing, it’s something that makes me feel good about serving the community and bringing special events to people in the area – so I decided I wanted to keep it going,” he said. “We love the business and we just wanted to make sure we keep it in the area.”
New business to carry on Taylor Rental's party services
The new business, which will operate exclusively online, will continue to provide tents, tables and other party supplies for local weddings, graduations and birthday parties, said Francis.
“The rental business is very popular in this area with a lot of backyard weddings and events, compared to bigger cities that may not necessarily have the space to host those types of events,” said Francis, who began working for Taylor Rental in 2002. “Our hope for the new business is to continue to carry on Taylor Rental’s reputation for providing excellent service to our customers.”
Griczika said he and his partner are prepared for a busy party rental season, with about 20 events already booked.
“We have a few things lined up already,” he said.

Party Tents and Events owners to give back to community
The new business plans to continue to provide supplies for local charity events, including the Relay for Life’s annual cancer walk at Mount Wachusett Community College. The owners are also planning on developing a college scholarship for students at Gardner High School.
“We love the Gardner community," said Griczika. "We’ve been involved with the community all of our lives, and we kind of see this as an opportunity to give back when we can."
Griczika, who started working at Taylor Rental in 2007, said he is grateful to the Gamaches for teaching him to have a strong work ethic and take pride in his approach to customer service.
“I’m not the man I am without them, and their legacy is something we’re hoping to do with our company – instilling those same values and serving the Gardner community, making all of these weddings and events special,” he said. “It was very important to them and it’s going to be very important to us.”
