Redkey man, 75, accused of rape; Hartford City teen charged with attempted murder

REDKEY, Ind. — A 75-year-old Redkey man has been accused of repeatedly sexually assaulting a mentally disabled person.

Teddy Ray Baldwin is charged in Jay Circuit Court with six counts of rape, a Level 3 felony carrying up to 16 years in prison.

The assaults are alleged to have taken place between 2014 and 2023, both in Baldwin's Redkey home and at a farm he owned along Jay County Road 350 South.

A trial date has not yet been scheduled. Baldwin was reportedly arrested on April 29.

Court records reflect the Redkey man was convicted of invasion of privacy in 2014.
