Recycling facility fire in Fresno prompts response of 3 fire departments

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A large fire at a commercial recycling facility in Fresno prompted the response of three fire departments, Cal Fire said.

Fire officials say they responded to the area of Chestnut Avenue and Golden State Boulevard in south Fresno for a commercial fire around 6 p.m.

Cal Fire says they, along with the Fresno Fire Department and the Selma Fire Department were battling a large fire at a commercial metal recycling facility.

As of Friday night, there is no information regarding the cause of the fire.

This is an ongoing investigation.
