Clarksville residents will soon be able to add two more restaurants to the "What should we eat?" question when listing places to grab a quick bite in Clarksville.

At its March 26 meeting, the Montgomery County Regional Planning Commission approved plans for chicken eatery Raising Cane's, while Jim 'N Nicks barbeque joint was deferred until next month.

Raising Cane's, known for its famous chicken tenders combo boxes and sauces, is bringing the sauce to Clarksville.

According to the plans submitted to the planning commission, Raising Cane's will sit on 1.72 acres on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard and Terminal Road.

Proposed plans have the restaurant being about 2,900 square feet with two drive-thrus, a patio and bicycle parking, 40 parking spots and two ADA spots.

The first Raising Cane's restaurant opened its doors in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. In less than 30 years, Cane's has grown its fanbase with more than 700 locations across the U.S.

This will be the fifth Raising Cane's location in Tennessee with one is Cookeville, Henderson, Nashville and Smyrna, not including the location on the University of Tennessee's campus.

Jim 'N Nick's Bar-B-Que has proposed plans to bring its barbeque to Clarksville with its first location in northern Tennessee.

According to plans submitted to the Regional Planning Commission, Jim 'N Nick's would sit on 1.38 acres, consist of 4,900 square feet and offer 49 parking spaces.

Jim 'N Nick's would sit on 1.38 acres in its proposed location on 101st Airborne Division Parkway and Pea Ridge Road in Clarksville.
