Rain at times Friday; looking great this weekend

Scattered showers with a few thunderstorms are working their way over parts of south and east-central Indiana Friday morning. To our northwest, rather foggy conditions have emerged. White county is under a Dense Fog Advisory until 10 AM. Both the fog and the rain ease late into the morning and we should be in rather good shape by the lunch hour with only a few lingering spotty showers.

Additional widely scattered showers and possibly a few thunderstorms are expected to return late this afternoon into the evening. There’s a lot going on around Indy this evening including the Broad Ripple Art Fair, the Pacers at Gainbridge Fieldhouse and the Indians are at Victory Field for a Fireworks Friday Night. Keep your Friday evening plans. Just be prepared that a few passing showers could be in the mix.

The weekend is looking good for Qualifying at the track. Some patchy fog is expected Saturday morning in central Indiana and a few passing showers are possible in the afternoon. However, most of the day will be dry and warm as temperatures will peak near 80° on Saturday. We’re even warmer Sunday with more sunshine around and temperatures that will rise to the mid 80s.

The warmth continues into next week. Our next big rain-maker comes in the middle of the week with showers and storms. Some of these could be on the strong to severe side. However, timing is still uncertain so be sure to check back for updates!
