Quiet pattern continues into the weekend

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Temperatures are a little warmer this morning but another nice day is in store. High temperatures will top out in the mid-80s this afternoon with abundant sunshine and low humidity.

The breeze will be lightest today before it picks back up again heading into the weekend. Temperatures continue to warm up slightly with highs in the mid and upper 80s through the weekend as well.

No rain is in the forecast in the near future with dry air sticking around.

Late next week, enough moisture may return for a few stray coastal showers in the evening Thursday.

Although hurricane season has not begun yet, the National Hurricane Center has highlighted an area of low pressure in the Central Atlantic. Additional development is not expected but over the past day or so it has had a persistent area of showers and thunderstorms.

However, it is moving into an area of stronger upper level winds today which will limit development.
