Quantum Leap has future revealed after two seasons

Quantum Leap will not be returning for a third season, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The reboot of the classic sci-fi series first aired in 2022 and showcased a new set of characters, including Dr Ben Song (Raymond Lee), Addison Augustine (Caitlin Bassett), Ian Wright (Mason Alexander Park), Jenn Chou (Nanrisa Lee) and Herbert 'Magic' Williams (Ernie Hudson).

Following the events 30 years after Dr Sam Beckett disappeared into the central time machine, the new team attempt to piece together the mysteries of the machine's past.
Fans of the original 1989 show were delighted to see Susan Diol reprise her role as Beth Calavicci.
Produced in-house at Universal Television, season 1 of Quantum Leap had a successful debut. It was given a series of extra episodes after just three weeks, resulting in 18 episodes overall. It was then quickly renewed for its second season.

Quantum Leap is the first NBC cancellation of the season, as the network has recently renewed Chicago Med, Chicago Fire and Chicago PD. Law & Order and Law & Order: SVU will also be returning, but, at the time of writing, a decision on Law & Order: Organized Crime has yet to be made.
Season 2 of Quantum Leap premiered in October 2023, picking up where the season 1 finale left off. Dr Ben Song foiled a murder but ended up inhabiting the body of a man named Perez in 1978.
The second season also featured an updated cast, with Neighbours star Eliza Taylor and Yellowjackets' Peter Gadiot among the stars joining the series.
All five seasons of the original Quantum Leap series are available to watch on Sky Go in the UK.
