A Quad-City car dealership is now powered by the sun.

Zimmerman Honda in Moline showed off its renewable solar-energy system with a ribbon-cutting. The new system came from Eagle Point Solar in Dubuque, and business managers say going solar puts the company ahead of the curve as more electric cars hit the streets.

Zimmerman Honda expects to save $27,000 dollars on energy costs in the first year and $1 million after 25 years.
