Purple People Bridge closed due to falling debris

The Purple People Bridge is closed due to a large piece of concrete or sandstone that fell from the pier Sunday afternoon.

According to The Purple People Bridge Company’s spokesperson, a passerby called 911 to report a large boulder that fell from the bridge.

The Purple People Bridge Company spokesperson confirmed that the bridge will be evaluated and inspected on Monday.
