Pump House Center for the Arts holds Chillicothe Art League open house
CHILLICOTHE — The Pump House Center for the Arts recently held an open house celebration for its April art show. This month the gallery was taken over by artists from the Chillicothe Art League.
The spring show featured more than 80 artworks by 54 different artists in a variety of mediums including mixed media, acrylic, ink, photography, ceramics and more. Members of the Art League said it was exciting to see their work displayed and have the chance to talk to other members about their pieces and what inspired them.
One member, Lanny Stout who has been a part of the league for around 20 years, said he was inspired by the sites he saw during his vacation to Ireland as he was in awe of the ruins and history of the area. In his displayed piece titled Monasterboice he used a pointillistic style of art to create the image.
