Pueblo Transit expands service routes

(PUEBLO, Colo.) — Pueblo Transit is expanding its service areas with two new routes that will be launched on Monday, June 3.

Available on the first Monday of June, the new routes are the North Shopping and South Shopping which will take the place of currently available routes, the Bessemer II and Berkley/Beulah II.

According to Pueblo Transit, the newest routes will shorten the commute time across the city and provide better service to shopping locations and frequent stops for commuters. Riders will be able to meet their destinations more efficiently and cut travel time.

At the moment, Pueblo Transit offers 11 routes.

“Pueblo Transit is inviting the public to upcoming town halls to learn more about how we are changing our routes to meet the needs of our ridership,” said Director of Pueblo Transit Ben Valdez. “I also believe this will encourage more ridership or even new riders because these two new routes allow individuals to “reclaim your time” with direct routes.”

Pueblo Transit will host three town hall meetings to help current or new riders understand the changes:

  • Monday, May 20 from 3:30 – 3:30 p.m. at Rawlings Library in Bret Kelly Room B

  • Friday, May 24 from 12:00-12:30 p.m. at Lucero Library in the Large Community Room

  • Wednesday, May 29 from 5:00 – 5:30 p.m. at Rawlings Library in Bret Kelly Room B
