:: They say a joint contract between Google and Amazon supports Israel's military in Gaza

(Roni Geiger, Ex-Google Health Employee)

“The contract that Google and Amazon have with the Israeli government, Project Nimbus, is, being, means that technology like artificial intelligence and cloud computing are being used for direct harm. That’s really painful to me and I don’t think it needs to be that way."

(James Burch, Organizer, Anti-Police Terror Project)

“Our job is to stop business as usual. Again there’s a genocide going on and like I know it’s been going on for months and months now but we don’t forget that. And a lot of us wake up with a sense of urgency every single day. We wake up, we know that there are children that are going to be killed, and that we need to be doing everything and fighting like hell to stop that.”

The protesters say that Project Nimbus, a $1.2 billion contract awarded to Google and Amazon in 2021 to supply the Israeli government with cloud services, supports the development of military tools by the Israeli government.

Signs denouncing Project Nimbus were seen throughout the crowd while protesters chanted.

After a few hours the blockade of the conference's entrance ended and the protesters dispersed.
