The Princess of Wales is continuing her important work in early childhood development amid her health battle.

Princess Catherine’s Royal Foundation Business Taskforce for Early Childhood published a new report this week, which lays out the case for prioritizing care during early childhood, showing the impact it can have, as well as the new initiatives the task force has planned.

The report includes quotes from task force members and leaders, as well as mentions of the princess, but there are no quotes from Kate herself.

As Harper’s Bazaar has reported, the princess is lying low, spending time with her family, and abstaining from public-facing duties as she recovers from cancer.

Kate announced her diagnosis in an emotional video message in March, revealing that when she underwent abdominal surgery in January, doctors found signs of cancer present in her body. She explained that she was being treated with preventative chemotherapy and said she is committed to making a full recovery.

Speaking of what she and husband Prince William told their three kids, Kate said: “As I’ve said to them, I am well, and getting stronger every day by focusing on the things that will help me heal, in my mind, body, and spirits.”

She added: “Having William by my side is a great source of comfort and reassurance, too, as is the love, support, and kindness that has been shown by so many of you. It means so much to us both.”

Kate has not made a public statement since, but husband Prince William did provide an update of sorts earlier this month, when he told a well-wisher that everyone in the family, including Kate, was “doing well.”
