Princess Diana’s Biographer Will Soon Release a Book About Meghan Markle

If you’ve been gobbling up every new headline about Meghan Markle’s life before meeting Prince Harry, boy do we have good news for you. The royal fiancée will be the subject of a new book written by none other than Princess Diana’s biographer, Andrew Morton.

Morton confirmed the news himself on Twitter, writing, “Excited to be writing #MeghanMarkle’s story. She has bags of charisma. A royal star who will have tremendous impact on royal family and wider world.”

In a release, Morton says the book will reveal “a comprehensive, unparalleled look at her life prior to the royal engagement,” as he says that he was a fan of Markle’s “star quality” long before she met Prince Harry.

“Confident, groomed, and camera-ready, she is a dramatic contrast to the blushing, coy royal brides of recent history. The warmth and affection Meghan and Harry displayed during their engagement interview is light years away from the stilted ‘whatever love means’ conversation with Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer in 1981.”

Speaking of Lady Di, Morton is the same man who wrote the bestselling biography, Diana: Her True Story, which was based on secret interviews with Diana conducted within Kensington Palace. In the book, Morton wrote about Diana’s battle with bulimia, her suicide attempts, and her heartache over Charles’s relationship with Camilla Parker Bowles.

There’s no word that Markle will conduct interviews with Morton for his upcoming work, Meghan: A Hollywood Princess. The book will be published by Michael O’Mara Books on April 19, 2018, just one month before their royal wedding.
