President George H.W. Bush Plans to Vote for Hillary

From Town & Country

The unpredictability of this election is continuing to blur party lines, and now, President George H.W. Bush plans to vote for Hillary Clinton, according to Robert F. Kennedy's daughter, Kathleen Kennedy Townsend.

"The President told me he's voting for Hillary!!" she posted on Facebook Monday along with a photo of her shaking hands with the former President. The post was not shared publicly, though Townsend confirmed the news in a telephone interview with Politico. She had met with President Bush in Maine early Monday.

President Bush said previously that he was not going to make an endorsement in this election, and Jim McGrath, a spokesman for Bush, did not confirm nor deny Townsend's claim.

"The vote President Bush will cast as a private citizen in some 50 days will be just that: a private vote cast in some 50 days," McGrath said in an email to the New York Times. "He is not commenting on the presidential race in the interim."
