CLEVELAND (WJW) — Thousands of Northeast Ohio residents were without power Sunday, FirstEnergy reported on its online outage tracker.

At first it was mostly those in Cuyahoga County affected, with more than 4,000 residents without their lights and air conditioning as storms were hitting other parts of the state. But by 7:15 p.m. that number was down to 49 customers. Then, after rain and wind finally hit the area, downed power lines cause more than 1,000 to be affected again. By 11 p.m. that number was down to about 500.
