UPDATE: Power restored to Columbus residents

UPDATE: According to the Georgia Power outage map, the areas previously impacted by overnight outages now have power restored.

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) – There are multiple blacked-out areas due to severe weather conditions; affecting over 1,200 customers in Columbus.

As of now, based on Georgia Power’s outage map the following areas are without power:

  • Benning Hills – At least 770 customers are affected and power should be restored by 2:15 a.m.

  • Near Bridlewood Drive – Georgia Power reports 463 customers are without power and estimates it should be restored by 2:15 a.m.
