Power outage impacts almost 500 in Luzerne, Lackawanna Counties

28/22 NEWS (WBRE/WYOU) — Hundreds are without power across Luzerne and Lackawanna County after a blown fuse.

PPL reports the power outage was caused by a tripped breaker or blown fuse and crews are working to make repairs.

Scranton officials supporting small businesses through ARPA funds

According to PPL, almost 500 customers in areas like Laflin and Moosic were impacted by the incident.

Repairs by PPL crews are expected to be complete by midnight.
