Potsdam Town Clerk Goliber recognized as 2024 Town Clerk of the Year

May 25—POTSDAM — Town Clerk Cindy Goliber was recently recognized as the 2024 Town Clerk of the Year by the New York State Town Clerks Association.

She has held the position for 28 years and has been a member of the New York State Town Clerks Association for 23 years.

She received the honor on April 23 at the annual NYSTCA conference at the Desmond Crowne Plaza in Albany.

"This prestigious award fully recognizes and appreciates the dedication, commitment, and service that Cindy provides to her community as well as the professional competency in fulfilling the responsibilities of her office," NYSTCA said in a news release. "She has demonstrated to her peers and members on NYSTCA that she respects and adheres to the educational and specialized standards established by NYSTCA."

NYSTCA members Canton Town Clerk Heidi Smith, Lawrence Town Clerk Tracy Villnave, Parishville Town Clerk Connie Maguire, Pierrepont Town Clerk Julian "Olla" Filiatrault, and Hopkinton Town Clerk Richard Powers made an honorary presentation to Goliber at the Potsdam Town Council meeting on April 16.
