Police: Woman steals nearly $3K from Lafayette Walmart cash drawer
LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) — A woman stole nearly $3,000 from a cash register at a Lafayette Walmart on Friday, authorities said.
Lafayette Police said the woman pictured below was involved in a theft reported Friday at the Walmart on Ambassador Caffery Parkway. The woman was allegedly able to distract a cashier at the money center and remove cash from the open cash register drawer.
As a result of the theft the cash drawer was short $2,998.64, officials said.
