Police: Sunbury man sexually assaulted woman in truck, Millmont campground

May 24—MILLMONT — A Sunbury man allegedly forced a woman to perform multiple sexual acts against her will during what was supposed to be a fishing trip on May 16 at Sunsational Family Campground in Hartley Township, according to state police in Milton.

Jordan Reitz, 25, of North 12th Street, Sunbury, was charged with seven felonies: four counts of sexual assault and three counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse by forcible compulsion; and nine misdemeanors: eight counts of indecent assault and one count of false imprisonment. The charges were filed by state Trooper Jessica Naschke, of the Milton State Police Barracks, in the Mifflinburg office of District Judge Jeffrey Mensch.

The 27-year-old female victim reported that Reitz and another Sunbury man picked her up in a truck in Sunbury on May 16 to go to Reitz's camper and fish at the Sunsational Family Campground in Millmont.

While driving to the campground, Reitz allegedly attempted to put his arm around the woman and pull her closer multiple times. She told him no and tried to slide away, according to court documents.

When Reitz allegedly unbuttoned his pants and pulled them down, the woman asked to be taken home, according to court documents. Reitz asked where her phone was, but the woman lied about its whereabouts because she feared Reitz would take it away from her, according to police.

Reitz allegedly forced the woman to perform sexual acts on him, police said.

When they arrived at the camper, the woman asked to be taken home. Reitz instead allegedly forced her in the camper and locked the door, police said.

Reitz allegedly forcibly undressed the woman, handcuffed her and blindfolded her with a shirt, police said. He then allegedly forced her again to perform sexual acts on him.

Reitz allegedly tried to make the woman perform sexual acts on the other man, but the other man said he was uncomfortable with what was happening. Reitz allegedly told him to shut up and it was his campsite and he had to listen to him, police said.

When Reitz left to purchase cigarettes, police said, the other man apologized to the woman and told her he was not aware that Reitz was going to treat her like that, according to police.

When they all left the campsite later, Reitz allegedly forced the woman to perform sexual acts again on the drive back to Sunbury. He allegedly threatened to throw her phone out the window if she didn't do it, police said.

The woman asked Reitz how he would feel if his sons grew up and did what he did, to which Reitz allegedly replied, "Oh well." He then allegedly told her not to tell anyone or he would knock her teeth out, police said.

The woman described the camper to police, who then went to the campground and confirmed her description, according to court documents.

The male witness confirmed the woman's story. He told police that he knew what happened was wrong, but he couldn't stop it, according to court documents.

The man said he apologized to the woman for not stopping it but he had been on the losing side of a physical fight with Reitz before. He encouraged the woman to report the incident to the police, according to court documents.

"What he did to her was monstrous," the man told police.

Reitz was arraigned on May 17 and committed to Union County Jail in lieu of $200,000 cash bail. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing at 10:30 a.m. in front of Mensch.
