Police seek info on missing Swansea teen who took an Uber ride

A 17-year-old Swansea boy has been reported missing after taking an Uber ride, the Swansea Police Department said Friday.

Amara Doukoure took an Uber from his home in Swansea at about 2 p.m. Wednesday and was dropped off near the Gateway Transportation Center at 430 S. 15th St. in downtown St. Louis, according to a statement by Swansea police. This center is a bus and train station.

“Amara has not been seen or heard from since,” the statement said. He does not have a cellphone “or any other means to communicate.”

He is a Black male and was wearing a red hoodie when he entered the Uber in Swansea. He is 6-foot-2 and weighs 160 pounds.
