Update: Police search for suspect in taco truck assault

According to the Oklahoma City Police Department, the two people connected to this assault have been identified.

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — The Oklahoma City Police Department (OKCPD) need your help finding a man involved in an assault at a taco truck early Sunday morning.

The assault happened in front of a taco truck in the parking lot located near SW 29th Street and Kentucky Avenue.

At around 2:30 a.m. on Sunday, police received a call about the assault.

“There were two individuals that had gotten into an argument at one point. The suspect had struck the victim over the head with a blunt object,” said Sgt. Dillon quirk, OKCPD.

The suspect took a beer bottle to the victim’s head then left without a trace.

Police said a witness nearby took a photo at the scene.

“We’ve released a picture of two men believed to be involved, and we’d like to get an identity on them,” said Quirk.

One of the workers inside the truck wasn’t there during Sunday’s event, but said an argument like this is rare to see in front of their business.

“We just posted the picture hoping someone out there will be able to identify them. Obviously, pictures and cameras are a big help to us these days,” said Quirk.

Oklahoma City Police say they don’t know the victim’s condition or if he was sent to the hospital.
