Pulaski PD investigating shooting at Main Street Speedway

UPDATE 4:05 P.M. PULASKI COUNTY, Va. (WFXR)– The Pulaski Police Department has released details into their investigation, reporting a man was shot outside of the Speedway gas station early Friday morning.

According to the police department, officers were dispatched at 2:45 a.m. to the Main Street Speedway on a report of a shooting. They arrived and found a man in the parking lot with a single gunshot wound.

The victim was taken to the Lewis Gale Pulaski Hospital in critical condition for treatment.

Police say the suspect allegedly fled the scene after the shooting, however, there is no danger to the public at this time.

UPDATE: 10:23 A.M. PULASKI, Va. (WFXR) — WFXR’s crew at the scene says officers have cleared the scene, but the gas station remains closed.

PULASKI, Va. (WFXR) — Police in Pulaski are currently on the scene of an incident at the Speedway gas station on Friday morning.

Details are limited; however, WFXR’s crew arrived at the gas station on Main Street, next to Wendy’s, to find several police officers and an investigation unit at the scene.

Crime scene tape is up and no customers are allowed inside the business.
