Police: Man in wheelchair hit, killed in North Las Vegas crash
LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – A man in a wheelchair who was hit by a truck has died, according to North Las Vegas Police.
It happened on Friday at about 11:15 a.m. near Owens Avenue and Main Street. Officers responded to the area after receiving reports of a crash involving a pedestrian and a vehicle.
When a medical team arrived they took the man in the wheelchair to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the truck remained at the scene and speed and impairment are not considered factors in the crash, police said.
